The chalet can only be reached on foot, skis, snowboard or mountain bike from Riederalp or Bettmeralp. However, the Aletsch Glacier is in the immediate vicinity. Only 900 metres separate the "Chüestall Hitta" from the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Incidentally, the "Chüestall Hitta" was built in 1921 and was already used as accommodation by the alpine farmer who summered his cattle on the lush pastures of the Aletsch region.
