Fattoria is beautifully located in the Tuscan countryside, surrounded by woodland, olive groves and well kept lawns: this small hamlet is an ideal introduction to Tuscany.
The hamlet has been well restored keeping many of the original features such as terracotta tiled floors, sturdy wooden beams on the ceiling and brick walls.
There are just 3 apartments in the complex, each with its own private and equipped garden area which ensures a relaxing vacation:
Leccio is the one just in front of the pool;
Stalla and Salariato are inside the main building, ground and first floor respectively, with separate access.
The owners live on site and are glad to help with any questions clients may have.
On requests they can arrange just for the guests cooking classes, dinners and breakfast service.

Fattoria is situated 4 km far from the little town of Buonconvento and its position is strategic to visit Siena at 30 km, Montalcino at 12 km, Pienza at 30 km, Montepulciano at 60 km, Bagno Vignoni, San Gimignamo all places reachable in 20 to 50 minutes drive.
Riding school at 6 km, Tennis court at 4 km, Golf course at 6 km.
At guests' disposal:
The large swimming pool is placed in the well-maintained garden area of the hamlet and has endless view over the Tuscan countryside below. For the guests' comfort, sun loungers and umbrellas are at their disposal on the terrace surrounding the pool. Built-in steps lead you gradually into the shallow area of the pool.

Each of the 3 units has mosquito screens and a private garden area, a BBQ (a large one to be shared and 2 smaller ones), Wi-fi internet, iron and iron-board, TV sat, Freezer, American coffe-maker. Electric fans available.

L'appartement Leccio est idéalement situé, vraiment indépendant et bien conçu. L'accueil des propriétaires est excellent. Ils sont de bons conseils et très disponibles. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour.

A very pleasant property - if you are prepared to stay in the country about 3kms by gravel road to any stores or places to eat. Friendly and helpful owners with adequate English, but the furnishings and kitchen utensiles should be upgraded. There should be some lawn furniture supplied for the grass area in front of the unit and the furniture around the pool should be replaced.

We loved our stay at Fattoria Armenia. Three couples stayed in late May 2014 and so enjoyed the experience of staying at a family run farm. Steffania, Alessandro, Julio and Jacobo made us feel as if we were one of the family. They were so warm and welcoming and made our stay so pleasant. Salariato worked very well for the six of us and was very roomy. The master bedroom was especially nice. When we return, which we hope will be soon, we will probably stay in the cottage as it has a wonderful private outdoor space on ground level. The views were outstanding and the area as wonderful as it looks. We all loved being surrounded by the many animals including dogs and puppies, lovely horses to visit in the field, and many more. We loved staying at Fattoria Armena. The place was an oasis to relax, yet close to all the wineries and hill cities so we could easily explore. The hosts, Stefania and Alessandro were the great and made our stay unique. There was great service and food, along with many laughs as we discussed the days adventures. For us it was a piece of heaven, a glimmer of something we couldn´t expect at all. We enjoyed the view, the pool, the kind hospitality of Stephanie and her family. We left our hearts there and miss especially the dogs :) Everything worked well, was very clean and beautiful concerning the villa and garden.
ps:please, send our hearts back to Finland, we desperately need those.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this villa. It was beautiful, the pool was gorgeous and the view was spectacular. The family hosts were delightful, accommodating and helpful. We could not have asked for more. We would definitely recommend this villa for a holiday and plan to come back again.

We stayed in June and although it was very hot and sunny while we were there the Villa was usually pleasant even without air conditioning. We stayed in the largest apartment, Salario, with 6 adults. The master suite with large bedroom with antiques and beautiful bath is by far the best room, but the other two bedrooms that share a bath are also nice. They were fine for my adult children and their friends.
We very much enjoyed the area and the fact that the Villa is part of a working farm, the owners breed Arabian Horses and on our last night there we saw a horse born--a truly unique experience. Stephania and Alexandro were nothing but accommodating and the dinner cooked on site was to die for. Buonconvento is a pretty convenient town with good train service. Be prepared in this area for dirt roads with lots of hills and if you rent a car likely a stick shift. We saw Sienna, Montalcino, Florence and much more. A wonderful vacation. Note there is a rooster who makes his presence known very early in the morning--but we got used to him. A family with younger children would find the animals just as charming as we did. We booked a stay at Fattoria Armena for a group of 6. We wanted a base of operations that would allow us easy access to wine country, as well as the ability to make day trips to Siena, Florence, etc. We could not have been happier with our choice. Stefania and Alessandro are very gracious hosts, assisting us greatly with reservations at wineries and restaurants in the area. The facilities are absolutely beautiful, and the view from the pool has to be seen to be believed! The property is about 3 km from Buonconvento, where one can find several nice restaurants (da Mario is the best of the bunch), and about 10 km from Montalcino, a must for any wine enthusiasts. We had a fantastic stay, and I recommend Fattoria Armena strongly for anyone looking for a beautiful Tuscan holiday!
