This was a great house. It was beautiful, clean, secure and functional. Six adults used it as our base to explore southern Tuscany (and Brunello!). The back yard is perfect for an apero and the dinning room can match any meal you can put together. Best of all, Spuntone is within easy walking of all the restaurants in Montalcino, meaning everyone can taste the local wines without having to have a driver. Viva Spuntone.

Casa Di Vignolo is a charming place to stay in a wonderful small town in Tuscany. The owners are very nice and have included information about the home and area to make your stay better. You can walk around the corner to the bakery, the butcher and the grocery store, all are wonderful and have quality products at a very good price. The restaurnt down the street is excellent!! Best restaurant we ate at our entire trip! Access to the train system is in a town that is a very short drive. My husband and I stayed in La Miccia and our family stayed here, there is a great kitchen/living area to meet and spend time together. I think they had a few issues with hot water, but once they figured the system out, it was fine! Wonderful place!

La Miccia is a charming villa. We enjoyed our stay there. We had rented both Vignolo and La Miccia due to the number of people in our group. We were disappointed that La Miccia realy only has the capacity for one bedroom (or bed). This altered our plans slightly
Both are charming and in a great little town. We would stay there again! The owners were very nice.¿Recomendaría esta propiedad a un amigo? Sí

We loved the Montegufoni property and the vistas overlooking the hills and vineyards was exceptional. Our room was comfortable and had beautiful views from the bedroom and the living area. The living area had a well-appointed kitchenette and a very nice patio where we enjoyed wine and cheese with friends in the evening overlooking the property and neighboring hillsides. The only negative about the Bastione room is that the bedroom, bathroom, and living area are all on different floors. There is a stone spiral staircase separating each level and you go up and down stairs alot.

This is a lovely property in the Tuscan countryside close to the town of Cortona. We were 2 couples and had plenty of room to relax and cook meals in the villa. The 2 bedrooms were almost identical and the beds were very comfortable. The owners are very kind and accommodating. I would highly recommend a stay at this villa.

This villa was absolutely ideally situated, about three kilometres from San Gimignano and surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Picture perfect views. We had it all to ourselves for most of the stay which was even better as the pool and grounds were lovely.

This property offered us everything we required - a beautiful setting, clean rooms, affordability, close proximity to Florence/Fiesole and very comfortable accommodation. The owner has restored this Tuscan farmhouse magnificently. He was very friendly and welcoming and was happy to offer help in choosing the best local restaurants. The swimming pool was not in use when we were there (it was mid-April and too cold to be used in any case).

A group of us - 8 friends - rented Il Padronale. The appartment was even better than the photos on the website. The owners were extremelly helpful, providing bread in the morning and their own wine whenever we requested it. It is beautifully silent and quite magical. From 3 of the group who had a cookery class, it is very well recommended. We are already planning our return visit!

This was a wonderful property and just perfect for me, my two daughters and their two friends. We rented the 3-bedroom apartment for a week in April and found it to be an excellent central location from which to explore the Chianti region, Florence, Arrezo, Sienna, Pisa and other Tuscan towns. The owner Leonardo is very hospitable and helped us plan some of our daily excursions and recommended good places to dine at the end of the day. The property is set in the mountains and is in a peaceful rural location. We found the space was more than sufficient for our needs as we were really only in the apartment at the end of the day since we were using it as a base camp from which to tour. If you just want to rest in the Tuscan sun and take in the vineyards and olive groves, you could be quite happy staying fixed at Castellaccio and reading by the pool and listening to the birds (I saw lots of wildlife on my morning and evening strolls). There is a lovely pool on the property which would be the perfect start and finish of the day (alas we were there in April and it was not as inviting in the cool mountain air of the evenings). If you are planning to have a car and want to be in a remote setting, this is a great place to hide away in the Tuscan countryside but still be well positioned to travel and see many sights. If you aren't cooking for yourself, you want to be aware that you will have to travel 20 minutes or so in most directions to get to places to eat (we found many good options and didn't mind the driving). We would gladly return to Castellaccio and are very pleased with our experience.
