The villa was lovely - beautiful views over the tuscan hills and a really peaceful setting. Very clean and comfortable. Run by a family who were very friendly and helpful. A really charming place. The villa was very clean, tidy and well looked after. Beautifully seclued, but too far from Gambassi - near enough so that it was only a five minute drive to the shops , restaurants. Good location for visiting San Gimignano, Volterra, Sienna. A twenty/thirty minute drive to Poggibonsi, where there's a very good supermarket. There is also an area outside where you could eat, and a barbeque that guests have access to, (although lots of mozzies around in the evenings in August). Quite a small living / dining area downstairs. As there are only two small apartments, the pool is very private. The views from the poolside are fantastic. Quite a small pool, but perfect for cooling off in the hot sun. Gambassi is a small town, pretty and unspoilt. There were some lovely restaurants there - only open in the evening. Nothing really to do there in the daytime - everywhere was closed when we arrived as it was the middle of the afternoon.

The property is a very pretty converted barn. Small but beautifully furnished. The pool is beautiful and has views of the Tuscan Hills with vinyards and olive groves in every direction and a view of the towers of San Giminiago in the distance. There is a covered dining area, barbecue and pizza oven. The area is quiet and peaceful. The nearest towns are 5 mins by car and have restautants, cafes, sights and supermarkets. San Giminiago is beautiful and Sienna and Florence are within easy reach. Wished we'd gone for 2 weeks , not one.

This property exceeded all of our expectations. The hostess was charming and helpful. Monteluce was set above an olive grove with an excellent panoramic view of Lake Trasimeno. The closest town is only a few minutes drive. My wife and I went here for our honeymoon and it was perfect. All in all - AMAZING!

What a lovely villa. Perfect outside with enough shadow. Perfect pool area that was kept spotless. Perfect bbq place. Unfortunately you can not park your car all day in the shadow. The living is on the first floor, so you have to move your food and drinks from the kitchen to the garden. Loro is a lovely place. We had a wonderfull two weeks in the summer. A wonderful villa in a stunning location -the terrace overlooks vineyards, olive groves, sunflowers and the hilltop town of Montepulciano -truly breathtaking! The pool is a good size and a Godsend in the heat! Jacopo,our host was charming and extremely helpful. We highly recommend the meals his mother cooks - pay for two and it becomes an excellent deal as you get a free 3 course pasta party - delicious! Angela, West Yorkshire, England

Podere Il Doccio was perfect for our family of four--us & 2 teenagers! The area is just breathtaking, and the villa was so welcoming & comfortable when we returned from a busy day exploring the sites of Italy. The location is wonderful because it is peaceful, quiet, and relaxing, yet convenient to the autostrada and a train station. It truly was our home away from home during our vacation! It was so nice to come back and relax on the terrace, under the stars, with a delicious glass of Franceso & Marina's wine!
Owners Francesco & Marina are most helpful, and provided us with wonderful recommendations for area restaurants, markets, and driving directions! This was a vacation we will not forget, and we hope to return again someday.
And Abby & Lucia.....we can't thank you enough for your prompt and
helpful service. You answered all of our questions, and we found
everything just as you had described/suggested! We would recommend
your service to anyone who is looking to rent a property in Italy.
We hope to do business with you again in the future.
The only "downside" to the villa, however, is the very long, bumpy, and partially unpaved driveway to the property....takes getting used to after driving up & down several times!

We stayed in the villa. It was like you were living in a novel. Owned by a former Italian prime minister and with some probably hugely expensive ornaments, pictures and other works of art, you feel the place is a treasure trove.

The villa was beautifully appointed and the kitchen facilities excellent.
Owners were charming and the son Andreas spoke excellent English which was a great help throughout our stay. We would love to stay at the property again as it was ideally situated to Lucca and this is such a magnificent town.

Small but comfortable villa in breaktaking scenery with a beautiful pool. We particularly enjoyed the barbeque pit and eating by the pool. The owners were friendly and helpful and overall this was a very enjoyable place to stay.
